Keeping Children Safe in Our Community

Keeping children safe is one of the most important responsibilities we share as a community. Every child deserves to learn, play, and travel to and from school without fear or danger. At the Jeanelle Fredericks Foundation, child safety is a core part of our mission and a meaningful way to honor Jeanelle’s memory.

Many accidents can be prevented with small, everyday actions. Slowing down in school zones, stopping fully at intersections, watching for children near buses, and staying alert in parking lots all make a real difference. When adults stay focused and careful, children stay safer.

We also believe in teaching kids simple safety habits—looking both ways, using crosswalks, staying aware of their surroundings, and speaking up when something feels unsafe. These skills help protect them throughout their lives.

Our foundation is committed to supporting programs, awareness efforts, and community partnerships that keep children safe. By working together, we can create a safer environment for every child and honor Jeanelle by protecting others.
